We are happy to lead a project of establishing a network of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) of biology teachers with the Technion as the academic institution guiding the communities. The project started with one PLC in 2018 and today includes nine PLCs. Dr. Dina Tsybulsky is the academic director of this project. Our PLCs support the professional learning of hundreds of biology teachers from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds in northern Israel using an empowering, dialogical approach alongside a rigorous effort to develop the PLCs’ digital capabilities.
